How we collect, use and protect personal data on our website and in the Rigel AI Portal.
1. Who we are
Rigel Digital ApS (CVR 45386279), Copenhagen, Denmark ("Rigel Digital", "we") is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: jimmi.mortensen@rigeldigital.com.
This policy covers our websites rigeldigital.com and rigeldigital.dk, and the Rigel AI Portal ("the portal"), our own platform for managing our clients' Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts.
2. Our website
- Contact: when you write to us or book a call, we use your name, email and message to answer you and, if we agree to work together, to deliver our services (legal basis: our legitimate interest and the contract).
- Cookies: necessary storage remembers your cookie choice for 6 months. Statistics (Google Analytics 4) and marketing cookies only run if you allow them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the home page.
3. The Rigel AI Portal
The portal is used by Rigel Digital's team and by the clients we have an agreement with. It is not open to the public.
3.1 Data we access
- Account data: your name and email address, the clients you have access to, and sign-in records (time, IP address, device) for security.
- Google sign-in: your email address, to identify you. We do not access your other Google data through sign-in.
- Google Ads data for the accounts Rigel Digital manages through its manager account: account structure, campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, ads, products, conversions, costs and performance figures.
- Google Merchant Center data for the accounts we manage: product data and product status.
- Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive (only for Rigel Digital team members who connect their own Google account): mail, calendar events and files of that team member, to show client mail, meetings and documents in the portal. Mail is only sent when the team member presses Send.
3.2 How we use it
- To create reports, audits, alerts and recommendations for our clients' advertising.
- To make changes to Google Ads and Merchant Center accounts (for example bids, budgets, keywords or product labels), only after a Rigel Digital specialist has approved the change.
- To give each user access to the right clients, and to keep the portal secure.
We use AI services to analyse account data on our behalf (currently Anthropic's Claude), under their business terms. Google user data is never used to train AI models, neither by us nor by these services.
3.3 Google API Services User Data Policy
Rigel Digital's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We only use Google user data to provide or improve the portal's user-facing features described above.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising, credit-worthiness or lending purposes.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
- People at Rigel Digital only read Google user data when it is needed to provide the service, for security, to comply with the law, or with the user's agreement.
3.4 Storage, security and retention
- Data is stored on computers and servers operated by Rigel Digital in the EU, and with service providers that process data for us under a data processing agreement.
- Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in requires Google plus a second step (an authenticator app or a code by mail). Access tokens and stored passwords are encrypted, and each user only sees the clients they were given access to.
- Performance data is kept while we manage the account and for up to 25 months for comparisons; sign-in records for 12 months. When an agreement ends, we delete the client's data within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
3.5 Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf (hosting, email, AI analysis), with the client whose account it concerns, or when the law requires it.
4. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, object to its use, or ask for a copy, by writing to jimmi.mortensen@rigeldigital.com. You can withdraw the portal's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
5. Changes
We update this policy when the website or the portal changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Important changes are announced in the portal.
